TOP SHELF TUESDAY — save on select top shelf eighths from Tower Three

What’s New at The Healing Center

A lot has changed at the shop, and this is the place we will keep you posted on new drops, deals and events. Here is what is new right now.

A new website, with the live menu built in

Our homepage now shows the same bundles and recommended products as the menu, updated automatically, so the deals you see on the site are the deals on the shelf. Shop from the homepage, from the Shop page, or from the category icons at the top.

Bundles, every week

Our Bundles row is where the weekly specials live: mix-and-match eighths, pre-roll multipacks and brand bundles. It changes often, so check back before each visit.

Everyday savings

  • Stamp rewards: download the STAMP ME app, collect a stamp on every visit, and cash them in for savings.

How Order-Ahead Pickup Works

You can shop our full live menu from your couch and have your order waiting at the counter. It takes about two minutes, and it is the fastest way through the door on a busy evening.

The flow

  • Browse the menu. Open the Shop page. Prices, stock and THC levels are live, so what you see is what is on the shelf.
  • Add to bag. Tap Add to bag on anything you want. The pink bag button keeps your running total.
  • Check out. Open the bag and check out as a guest or create an account (accounts save your history and let you reorder in a tap). Choose a pickup time.
  • We get it ready. You will get a confirmation, and another message when the order is ready.
  • Pick up at 346 River St. Come to the counter, show the ID you ordered with (21+, government-issued), and pay. Free parking out front.

Good to know

  • Orders are held for the day they are placed. If plans change, just order again.
  • Bring the same ID that matches your order.
  • Ask at the counter about payment options; cash is always accepted.
  • Prices and deals in the bag are the same as in store.

Why bother ordering ahead?

You get to take your time choosing, you lock in items that might sell out, and you skip the line. If you prefer to browse in person, that is great too; our budtenders are happy to walk you through the shelves.

THC, CBD & Terpenes Explained

Every product card on the menu shows a THC percentage, and it is tempting to shop by the biggest number. Potency is one ingredient in the experience, not the whole recipe. Here are the three things worth understanding.

THC

THC is the main compound responsible for the high. The percentage on flower tells you how much of the plant’s weight is THC; on edibles it is listed in milligrams per piece and per package. Higher THC means stronger, faster effects, which is not the same as better. Many people find mid-range products give a more enjoyable, controllable experience.

CBD

CBD does not produce a high on its own. Products that combine CBD with THC often feel smoother and more balanced, and CBD-forward products are popular with people who want the relaxing qualities without much intoxication. A ratio like 1:1 means equal parts CBD and THC.

Terpenes

Terpenes are the aromatic oils that give each strain its smell and flavor, from citrus to pine to diesel. Growing evidence and plenty of consumer experience suggest they shape the character of the effect too. A few you will see on labels:

  • Myrcene: earthy, musky; common in relaxing strains.
  • Limonene: citrus; often described as uplifting.
  • Caryophyllene: peppery, spicy.
  • Pinene: pine; associated with alertness.
  • Linalool: floral, lavender-like; associated with calm.

Putting it together

A good way to shop: pick the product type you want, choose a THC level that matches your experience, then let the terpenes and description guide the final choice. If a strain has worked well for you before, look at its terpenes and seek out products with a similar profile.

Indica, Sativa & Hybrid — What They Mean

Almost every product on our menu carries one of three labels: indica, sativa or hybrid. They are a useful shorthand, and also a bit of a myth. Here is what they actually tell you.

The traditional meaning

  • Indica has long been associated with relaxing, body-heavy effects, the classic evening choice.
  • Sativa is associated with uplifting, energetic, more cerebral effects, often picked for daytime.
  • Hybrid is a cross of the two, which is most of what exists today, with effects that lean one way or the other.

Why it is only part of the story

The indica and sativa names originally described how the plants grow, not how they feel. After decades of crossbreeding, nearly every strain is a hybrid, and two products both labeled indica can feel quite different. What shapes the experience is the full chemical profile: how much THC and CBD a product has, and which terpenes (the aromatic compounds) are present. Our THC, CBD and terpenes guide goes deeper on that.

How to use the labels anyway

Treat the label as a starting filter rather than a promise. If you know you want to wind down, start in indica and indica-leaning hybrids. If you want to stay active, start in sativa. Then read the product description and the terpene information, and ask a budtender what customers say about it. Over time you will notice certain terpenes or brands work for you, and that becomes a better guide than the label.

On our menu you can filter by lineage with one tap, and the Flower types links in the footer take you straight to each group.

Dosing 101: Start Low, Go Slow

The single most useful piece of cannabis advice is four words long: start low, go slow. It matters most with edibles and tinctures, where the effects take time to arrive and last for hours.

Why edibles are different

When you eat cannabis, your body processes THC through the liver, which makes the effect stronger and much longer-lasting than smoking or vaping. Onset can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours depending on what you have eaten that day. The classic mistake is taking a second piece because the first one has not hit yet.

A sensible starting point

  • New to edibles: 2.5 mg of THC is a gentle first dose. Many gummies are 5 mg each, so cut one in half.
  • Some experience: 5 mg is a common comfortable dose.
  • Regular consumer: 10 mg or more, based on what you know works for you.
  • Tinctures: start with a few drops under the tongue, hold for a minute, and wait 20 to 30 minutes before adding more.

Whatever you take, wait at least two hours before considering more. Note what you took and how it felt so your next session starts from knowledge rather than guesswork.

If you overdo it

Too much THC is unpleasant but not dangerous for a healthy adult. Find a calm, comfortable place, drink water, eat something, and wait; it passes. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. Some people find a CBD product takes the edge off. Never drive, and if you have an underlying health condition and feel unwell, call your doctor.

Keep it safe at home

Store edibles in their original labeled packaging, out of sight and out of reach of children and pets. Edibles look like ordinary candy, and that is exactly the problem.

Cannabis 101: A First-Timer’s Guide

Walking into a dispensary for the first time can feel like a lot: a wall of jars, a menu with hundreds of products, and words like terpenes and lineage. The good news is that you only need to understand a few basics to shop well, and our budtenders handle the rest.

The main product types

  • Flower is the dried plant, sold by weight (an eighth is 3.5 grams). You grind it and smoke it in a pipe, a joint, or a vaporizer. Effects come on within minutes and fade over an hour or two.
  • Pre-rolls are joints rolled for you. They are the simplest way to try flower without buying any gear.
  • Vapes are cartridges or disposable pens filled with cannabis oil. Quick onset, no smoke, easy to carry.
  • Edibles are gummies, chocolates, drinks and more. They take 30 minutes to two hours to kick in and last longer, so patience matters (see our dosing guide).
  • Tinctures are liquid drops you hold under your tongue. Faster than edibles, easy to measure.
  • Concentrates like rosin and badder are potent extracts for experienced consumers.
  • Topicals are balms and lotions applied to the skin and generally do not produce a high.

How to choose your first product

Start with what fits your evening. If you want something easy and short, a single pre-roll or a low-dose gummy is a comfortable first step. Look at the THC percentage as a guide to strength, not a score, and pay attention to how a product is described (relaxing, uplifting, social). Lower strength is the right call for a first time; you can always go up next visit.

What to bring and expect

Bring a valid government-issued ID showing you are 21 or older. You can browse the live menu at home, order ahead for pickup, or come in and talk to a budtender, who will ask what kind of experience you are after and point you to a few options. There are no wrong questions.
